Andrea McWilliams is currently a lobbyist based in Austin, Texas. Her and her husband dean founded McWilliams Governmental Affairs Consultants, a firm dedicated to providing their clients with lobbying services to the local, state, and federal governments, as well as advice on how to best maneuver to get what they want in the current political landscape. While represented large companies and corporations, Andrea McWilliams also represents non-profits, including the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
McWilliams has been recognized as a very powerful person in her field. In 2017, she was featured in Texas Monthly’s POWER profiles. She has also been listed in the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power. She was even a Texas Businesswomen of the Year finalist in 2016 by the Texas Women’s Chamber of Commerce. This same body named her as a distinguished person in her field. She has even won an Austin Under 40 Award for all of the accomplishments that she has been able to have while still being relatively young in her field.
Andrea McWilliams has also had a very philanthropic life as well. She has been named to the Austin American-Statesman’s Fortunate 500 list, the Austin American-Statesman’s Glossy 8 list, and the Austin Fashion Week’s Style Setter list for her work with non-profit organizations. She was an honorary chair of the Mamma Jamma Ride for Breast Cancer and was given a Woman of Distinction Award by the Girl Scouts. She truly loves to give back.
